Risk Management
SATIB strives to continually provide value in addition to the specialised insurance covers for which it has become renowned. Our network of specialists and professionals within each market is extensive and has allowed us to offer additional benefits that are unique and which provide real added value.
Risk management falls in line with SATIB’s view that good business is built on long term, mutually beneficial relationships. In order to motivate the best possible rates we engage our clients at a risk management level to ensure the best operating practises are achieved. This is a relationship of capacity building and working with clients year after year to continually improve on the ground operations for those in need.
Risk management is typically defined by mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. We are fortunate enough to have association with several resources in terms of risk management that cover every phase of the risk management cycle.
Our network of risk management experts are focused on the entire risk management process defined above. We have provided and managed a multitude of risk management products and services ranging from on-the-ground surveys and inspections to risk training, digital mapping of clients’ risks and early warning systems.
The main focus lies in mitigation. Mitigation efforts attempt to prevent incidents from occurring in the first place or reduce the effects of disasters when they occur. Mitigation is the most cost-efficient method for the reducing the impact of hazards.
Risk Manager conducts a risk survey of clients’ premises, focusing on potential fire risks, emergency evacuation procedures, staff competency levels in fire safety awareness and the effective use of fire fighting equipment, the suitability and positioning of fire fighting equipment, water supplies and fixed fire fighting installations. They would also survey your vehicles (use, condition, and maintenance), drivers (age, experience) and facilities where the vehicles are stored (security, fire risk). Risk managers will advise of any obvious risk improvements to enhance good risk management practices.
Available services include:
- Fire Surveys
- Motor Surveys
